Hi, I'm Stacey. Welcome to Averly Gets Creative! Here you can read about, and hopefully enjoy, my random ramblings. I'm likely to write about my husband, Jack, and our kids; Riley is 8 and Ava is 1½. And if you’re wondering why the blog’s name is Averly Gets Creative it’s the combo of Ava & Riley (I know, super clever right?).Last summer we moved to a suburb of Minneapolis so Jack could attend law school. I'm lucky enough to get to stay home with my kiddos, but sometimes I really miss talking to other adults all day. So I’d love to hear from you… no really, I get very excited when I get comments or emails (wow that sounds incredibly desperate). And you should definitely get ahold of me if you live around the twin cities and want to get together to do some thrift store shopping (Or really anything, did I mention that most of my days are spent having conversations with a toddler?)!

I love just about anything I can do with my hands; cross stitching, making jewelry, scrapbooking, painting, photography, papercutting, etc. I really like to learn new things; to find inspiration in other blogs, magazines, Etsy, or at craft shows and think "Wow, that's so cool! I wonder if I can do it." Sometimes I can and well, sometimes I fail miserably, but at least I have fun trying.
